What’s Worse Than Making The Wrong Choice?

Dear Friends,

Have you ever found yourself in a position where you fought and fought with a decision for fear of making the “wrong” one?

In the grand scheme of things, your decision probably didn’t matter all that much. But at the time, it felt like it would mean everything.

What about a time when you had such a tough time choosing that you decided to make no choice at all (which technically is a choice but we’ll get to that later)?

Yes to both situations? Same here. As always, you’re not alone.

Here’s some good news. There is no “wrong” decision. There never is. Right and wrong does not exist. It might feel like it does, but I promise that this is just the meaning that you gave to it.

There are really only two outcomes in our lives for any situation; it either pushes us toward what we want or it pulls us back to where we currently are. That’s it. You either win or you learn.

There is a third option though. I mentioned this above and this is where we really need to be careful.

The third option is not making a decision at all.

Even if your only two options were to act or not act, choosing to not make a decision at all is not the same as consciously deciding not to do something.

When we choose to do something or choose to not do something, we’ve consciously examined the situation and made the best choice based on what we had.

But when we do nothing simply as a default, well, then we’ve just given up the one true power we have. And that power is your power to choose. You might not be able to choose an outcome, but you can always choose how you respond to one.

Please do not give up your power. You’re bigger, better, and stronger than that. Don’t worry about wrong or right. Remember, you win or you learn. The only way to lose is if you give up.

With Love,

Ev
