My Secret To Success

Dear Friends,

I would venture to say that you’ve heard someone promise to share with you the secret to success.

Usually, this is conditional promise where the condition is 12 easy payments of 39.99.

To me, that’s not cool.

It’s one thing to support someone's transformation with your time and energy but simply withholding information is a far cry from that.

So far in my journey, I’ve identified 34Success Principles that I strive to live by each and every day.

While my journey has only just begun, I can’t help but be grateful for what success I’ve had so far in my life. I have a roof over my head, food in my fridge, and a couple of shillings to my name.

Although there are 34 principles (so far), each and every principle seems to do nothing other than reinforce Principle #1.

So - this is simply based on my experience, my journey, my perspective - to me that means Principle #1 must be the secret to success.

But it’s not a secret. It’s a principle. A guiding philosophy that supports the decisions that I make.

It’s based on my trial and error as well as my observations and research into the lives of those we would deem “successful” (and not just regarding financial success but all aspects of life).

Honestly, it should come as no surprise that Success Principle #1 is this:

Show up, do your work.

Yup, that’s it. You’ve likely heard or read this before. It’s not new. It’s not even original to me. But it works for me.

There’s a reason why the saying “showing up is half the battle” has withstood the sands of time. It’s true.

And since action is everything, the only logical second half is to do the work.

It doesn’t matter what your work is. Show up, and do it.

Not once. But every single day.

It all comes down to consistency, persistence, and effort.

I don’t care who you are. Talent will only take you so far. It’s important.

But you will get beat 10 times out of 10 by someone who is considerably less naturally talented but outworks you.

Do not be outworked.

I’m not trying to imply there isn’t an infinite number of opportunities available out there. Because there is. But they are only available to those who show up and work toward those opportunities.

If you want something. Go get it.

Seriously.

Show up. Do you work. Figure things out as you go.

That’s the secret.

Now, go tell everyone you know.

Help them. Support them. Grow with them.

Show up. Do your work. Repeat daily.

With Love,
Ev

P.S. Do you know someone who needs to read this? If so, please make sure you forward it to them.
