What sets The Perfect Fitness Framework apart?

The Perfect Fitness Framework is built around the idea of doing more of what works and less of what doesn’t in a way that works for you. We use a proven curriculum, powerful technology, and expert coaching to help high-performing Scrum Masters and Product Owners become high-performers with their food, fitness, and lifestyle goals. 

To meet our clients where they are at, we’ve taken some of the central component of the Scrum Framework and integrated that into the foundation of the Perfect Fitness Framework.

Here’s how:

The Daily Check-In

Just like the Daily Stand-Up in Scrum, the Daily Check-In is the cornerstone of my coaching program.

We use the Daily Check-In a little differently and is comprised of two* parts:

  • Daily Lesson: Each day you will receive a lesson that helps you develop the skills and behaviors to bring your current in-focus habit to life.

  • Habit Completion: In addition to the lesson, you will also be asked each day if you completed your habit for that day. It’s a simple yes or no and should be done at the end of each day.

  • Training: If you opt for fitness training, you will have a third “check-in” in the form of your training programming for the day. No, you won’t be “working out” seven days a week as rest and active recovery are critical components to any good training programs.

Most of my clients like to do their lesson in the morning and the Habit Check at night and their workout whenever it fits their schedule best, morning or night.

The Backlog

The Perfect Fitness Framework is built around the idea of doing more of what works and less of what doesn’t in a way that works for you.

We use Precision Nutrition’s proven curriculum to bring this to life. The reason for that is the curriculum focuses on developing the habits necessarily to reach your food, fitness, and lifestyle goals and we cover all three of those pillars in various stages of your coaching.

I view this list of habits, and the corresponding lessons that develop the skills and behaviors, as your own personal backlog.

We’ve already prioritized the backlog for you in a way that enables each habit to build on each other. Even better, each habit is practiced in two-week iterations. Smells a lot like a Sprint to me.

Weekly Check-Ins and Retrospectives

In addition to your daily check-in, I also have you complete a weekly check-in that we use as a bridge to our “Retrospective” coaching calls (more on that in a minute).

The Weekly Check-In is a deeper dive into how you’re doing and enables you to course correct mid-Sprint if need be.

Then at the end of one or two sprints (2 or 4 weeks), we’ll connect for a retrospective call. This is where you and I will work together to bring the Perfect Fitness Framework to life. We’ll talk about what’s working well for you and how to do more of that. We’ll also look at what hasn’t worked so well for you and ways to approach it differently or remove it altogether.

Throughout all of this will be a “Demo” though this differs a bit from the end-of-Sprint demo in Scrum. Since everything we do is both habit and behavior-based, I want you to show me how you’re bringing each of the habits to life. This is something you’ll talk about in your weekly check-ins as well are our coaching calls. Know that this isn’t me asking you to “prove it” but rather an opportunity for you practice deeper self-awareness.
